Some initiatives bring people together for a day. Others bring an industry together for a purpose.
Following the response to its previous edition, Suryasthan — an initiative of the Renewable Energy Association of Rajasthan (REAR) — is preparing for its next chapter: Suryasthan 2.0.
A milestone that brought the industry together
On 20 December 2025, Suryasthan brought Rajasthan’s renewable energy ecosystem together at Hotel Clarks Amer, Jaipur. REAR’s published recap reported more than 1,000 participants, including over 850 solar EPC vendors. These are organiser-reported attendance figures, not independently audited totals.
The gathering created space for solar EPC companies, manufacturers, distributors, financial institutions, professionals and institutions to discuss rooftop solar adoption, industry coordination and practical challenges facing the sector.
The most important achievement was the demonstration of what is possible when different parts of the industry engage around a shared purpose. Suryasthan 2.0 aims to take that cooperation further.
Suryasthan 2.0: deeper connections and greater possibilities
India’s renewable energy sector is evolving rapidly. Solar deployment increasingly intersects with battery storage, digital energy systems, finance, electricity-market access, safety and workforce skills.
Suryasthan 2.0 seeks to bring these subjects and their stakeholders into closer conversation, moving from event participation towards longer-lasting knowledge exchange and industry relationships.
Potential discussion themes include PM Surya Ghar implementation, C&I solar opportunities, solar equipment quality, battery energy storage systems (BESS), Green Energy Open Access, financing and insurance, electrical safety, technology innovation and skills. The official programme and schedule have not yet been announced.
REAR Connect: bringing stakeholders onto one platform
REAR plans to launch the REAR Connect App alongside this next chapter. The app is being developed to make it easier for renewable energy stakeholders to discover relevant people, share opportunities and participate in structured industry discussions.
Its proposed Industry Marketplace will support business requirements, enquiries and direct professional connections. Community Discussion will encourage knowledge sharing and industry interaction. Policy & Regulatory Information will help participants navigate developments, while Knowledge & Support will connect people to relevant resources and channels for raising issues.
REAR Connect is a planned launch. Availability, access rules and final features will be confirmed through official REAR announcements. The app will facilitate communication, not guarantee third-party commercial transactions or replace formal grievance procedures.
Be part of Suryasthan 2.0
Sponsors and brand partners can express interest in supporting renewable energy collaboration and awareness. Exhibitors and technology providers may explore opportunities to showcase solutions, subject to the confirmed event format.
Industry associations, financial organisations and academic institutions can explore collaboration. Mentors, experts and thought leaders are invited to share experience, while volunteers and emerging professionals can contribute to outreach and event activities.

Rajasthan has immense solar potential, but progress depends on capable businesses, quality implementation, informed consumers, credible technology, finance and constructive cooperation.
Suryasthan 2025 demonstrated collective interest in those goals. Suryasthan 2.0 seeks to build a stronger network around them — one that stays connected beyond the event.
